§ 6.04.100. Vaccination.

  • A.

    Mass vaccination against rabies shall be held semiannually in the spring and fall. The dates and cost shall be sent and posted two weeks in advance by the health officer or rabies control officer.

    B.

    The rabies control officer shall provide for the vaccination of all dogs. In all cases, the expense shall be borne by the owner.

    C.

    Any person found guilty of violating the above requirements for vaccination of dogs within the city limits shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than five dollars ($5.00) on the first offense and not more than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) and/or ten (10) days in jail on a second or subsequent offense. The fines are in addition to impound charges for confinement of the dogs which have not been vaccinated as required in this chapter.
