§ 9.04.010. Definitions.

  • The following terms used in this chapter have the following meanings:

    "Adult" means a person over twenty-one (21) years of age.

    "Curfew" means that period of time during which minors may not be on or upon public property.

    "Guardian" means an adult lawfully appointed to have the care and custody of a minor.

    "Minor" means a person under the age of eighteen (18) years for whom the disabilities of a minor have not been removed for general purposes under AS 09.55.590 or who have not arrived at the age of majority under AS 25.20.020.

    "Public property" means the street, alleys, highways, and other real property. Including the improvements thereon, owned operated or maintained by the city or other governmental entity.

    "School year" means the period designated by the Galena school board during which the Galena schools shall be operated in regular session, including holidays and vacation.

    "Ward" means a minor under the care and custody of a guardian or other adult.
