§ 3.08.080. Adding tax—Schedule.

    Adding Tax. The seller shall add the tax herein imposed to the sales price or charge, showing the tax as a separate and distinct item. The amount of the tax to be added shall be determined in accordance with the following schedule:

    Total Sales Tax
    Under $0.20 ..... None
    $0.20 through 0.40 ..... $0.01
    $0.41 through 0.80 ..... 0.02
    $0.81 through 1.20 ..... 0.03
    $1.21 through 1.40 ..... 0.04
    $1.41 through 1.80 ..... 0.05
    $1.81 and over, continue on same scale.

     

    B.

    A sale of items separately priced shall be taxed upon the aggregate price.

    C.

    Coin-operated machines shall collect a tax, not under the foregoing schedule, but two percent of the total consideration received in each machine. The breakdown of sales price and tax expressed in tenths of cents shall be explained upon the device.
