§ 2.30.040. Police chief—Duties.

  • The chief shall:

    A.

    Formulate a set of rules and regulations, subject to the approval of the city manager to govern the department.

    B.

    Be responsible to the city manager for the personnel, equipment, morale and general efficiency of the department.

    C.

    Provide for the maintenance of appropriate and complete records and other information about the work of the department.

    D.

    Perform such other duties related to the police department as may be required from time to time by the city manager or city council.
