§ 2.24.030. Finance director—Duties.

  • The finance director shall establish and maintain a system for the management of the city's finances, shall cause to be performed the routine and specialized accounting and bookkeeping functions of the city, shall provide regular monthly financial summaries and other financial information as required by the city council and city manager and as needed by the other city departments for the performance of their responsibilities and shall assist the manager in budget preparation and proposed budget revisions. The finance director shall make recommendations for necessary personnel and equipment, shall evaluate incumbent personnel and shall generally manage the department to insure maximum effectiveness. The finance director shall make such reports as the city council or city manager may from time to time require.
