§ 2.08.050. Powers and duties.

A.

The mayor acts as a ceremonial head of city government, executes official documents on authorization of the council, and is responsible for additional duties prescribed by state law and city ordinances.

B.

The mayor presides at meeting of the city council, may take part in the discussion of any matter before the council, but may not vote except in the case of a tie.
