§ 16.12.010. Required approval or disapproval.

  • A.

    The subdivider shall submit a preliminary plat to the planning commission in order that preliminary approval may be reached on layout and arrangement of streets and lots before a final plat is prepared.

    B.

    If the preliminary plat is acceptable for processing, the commission may grant preliminary approval of the plat subject to receipt of additional review comments by appropriate state and federal agencies.

    C.

    Approval of the preliminary plat shall entitle the subdivider to approval of the final plat if it conforms substantially to the preliminary plat and any conditions of approval that have been made.

    D.

    If the planning commission does not approve, disapprove or return the preliminary plat to the applicant within sixty (60) days, the preliminary plat is considered approved and the final plat may be submitted for approval. This sixty (60) day period does not commence until all information required in Sections 16.12.020 and 16.12.030 has been submitted to the city clerk, as determined by the city clerk.
