    Line Extensions.

    1.

A line extension is a service which requires two or more additional poles. An underground service, either primary or secondary, is considered a line extension.

    2.

In general, Galena Electric Utility (GEU) will provide an aerial service drop to a permanent structure by the most inexpensive means that meets minimum height requirements and other applicable standards. GEU will provide labor and materials for the installation of a single transformer, one pole (if needed) and the service drop, including attaching hardware to the customer's weatherhead.

    3.

If additional pole(s), hardware and transformers are required, GEU will review requests on a case by case basis. In general, the customer will be assessed for all initial costs of labor and materials in line extensions.

    4.

Customer installations between the distribution system and the meter base will be subject to inspection and approval by GEU.

    5.

The customer will be responsible for maintenance of all customer installed systems.

    6.

GEU's tariff will be consulted for all questions concerning financial obligations regarding service installation and maintenance.
