Latest version.
  • A.

It is the responsibility of the owner or occupant of the premises to install and maintain proper containers, wiring, connections, and piping to accommodate delivery of water or electricity and removal of sewage.

    1.

For water service. An outside one and one-half inch (1 ½") female cam-lock connection, leading to a one and one-half inch (1 ½") inlet supply line. Water tanks shall be vented with an overflow line at least the same size as, or greater than, the supply line, extending a minimum of six inches outside of the building with a ninety (90) degree turn pointing down to prevent icing. The overflow line shall be plumbed to exit the side of the water tank (not the top), thus creating an air gap at the top of the tank and allowing water to exit the overflow before the tank is completely full and begins to pressurize.

    B.

The owner or occupant must provide adequate access which is clear of obstructions for city vehicles and personnel to conduct utility services and read utility meters. The city is not liable for injury or damage to persons or property caused by the failure of the owner or occupant to maintain proper facilities or clear access.
